The Schwab 529 Plan invests in the underlying funds of several investment managers to diversify across stocks, industry sectors and investment styles. You will hold an interest in the Schwab 529 Plan portfolio you invest in, not direct shares of the underlying funds.

The investment returns for each of the portfolios are net of underlying fund expenses and the program management fee.

The Schwab 529 Plan College Savings Plan is available through Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., and is managed by American Century Investment Management, Inc. The Plan was created by the Kansas State Legislature under the provisions of Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code and is administered by Kansas State Treasurer Steven Johnson.
